TRCK REVIEW: ·wendil – Maturity

As we march on to the end of the year, we’re pretty much wanting to move on to greater things by officially retiring our old trusty Wix website (theflyinglugaw.wixsite.com/blog). I then decided to move the external content of TFL to a more accessible website, which is without a doubt one of the most used open-source content management system, WordPress. This will later on become a domain if ever i have the spare time to save some money next year.

Now, speaking of moving on to things and growing, i stumbled upon a track of an upcoming female singer-songwriter who goes by the name of .wendil. Her debut track “Maturity” bleeds with potential by incorporating a poppy chic and aesthetic. The instrumental melody echoing in the back compliments the choruses repeated that is followed with a “hananana..”, a vocal loop that’s very addicting to sing a long to. Although, some of the vocal presence here needs some work. It sounds like the microphone mixing or the singing itself doesn’t blend well with the bright Chvrches-esque production. Other than that, it’s a pretty catchy song and a potentially sweet debut with a surprising assistance of Mr. Genjitsu Stargazing Society himself, Kurvine Chua.
